The hunger games

Well it's been a long time,

But I'm back and reviewing The Hunger Games Book one!

When I turned 15 in May I was aloud to read it after years of waiting and wanting, and I am glad I waited it is definitely an older book series I would say no one under 15 should read it.
Its funny I used to love hearing spoilers but now I hate them I definitely did not want to know spoilers for this book, I avoided them like poison (: and Nightlock at that :)

So the story line it's a futuristic Novel in what was once North America,

Which is split into different districts which no one is aloud to leave.... Well except for when it's was the time of the hunger games.

Where the president to show his power and the districts weakness he has two children picked at a random one girl and one boy from each district to fight each other to the death in an arena.

But when Katniss's sister Prim gets chosen she volunteers to go in here place.  
And even though the odds are not all in her favour she proves herself to be a dangerous and skilled enemy, even outside the arena 

My favourite character was a girl called Rue who even though small knows how to survive, and being younger than the rest of the tributes she certainly is smarter than them.

Katniss is strong if not a bit fickle, but every thing she's done is for her family and friends.

Peeta is kind hearted loving and will do any thing for people he loves.

I will probably be reviewing the next two hunger games, The Spider kings and the Maze Runners.

My new book idea..

Yes I have a new idea for yet another story to write and it is about the Chines zodiac well in a sense. 

Firstly what is the zodiac? Well its a repetitive twelve year cycle that that the Chinese have and each year is represented by an animal, So like I was born in the year of the dragon and that's partly why I like dragons so much, because its sort of like my special animal.

So the story is that some people have a special power to be able to change into the animal that was the year  they where born.

 So the main character is born in the year of the dragon (of course) and he can change fully or partly into a dragon so if he wanted to he could have the throat of a dragon and then breath fire,

Any way he go's somewhere to learn about his powers and such.

There is going to be a bad guy but I still have to work out his goal and I might add something like goblins in........ any way its still very new in the making and I will have to think and write some more before I can say any more.

 So a very short post but I just wanted to tell about it so TTFN Ta Ta For Now!

The Berinfell Prophecies Book one The Cures of the Spider King

So it has been a while since I last posted due to holidays and then just not getting around to it, so anyway today I'm reviewing book one in the Berinfell Prophecies, hence the title.                            
 I got this book from a friend to borrow and it was really good I am now currently reading book three in the trilogy but that's for another time :)

Its set in our world and also another world it is about seven young elven lords who where stolen from there world and taken to earth where they are completely unaware of there true identity's but when they turn thirteen their powers begin to set in and it becomes a race between the elves (good guys) and the bad guys to get to the teens.
 The bad guys of course want to kill them and the good guy want to bring them home to help their people,

The sevens names are Johnny, Jimmy, Tommy, Autumn, Kat,  Kirrie Lee, and Jet they all have different Powers and are all good characters but my favorites are Jimmy Kat and Kirrie Lee


So like I said before this is a great book and is different, it might give you a touch of arachnophobia but that wheres of after a while...........maybe (evil laugh)

The Spiderwick Chronicles.

One of my absolute favourite series ever.
 They are absolutely fabulous, a magical combination of fay folk and the modern day world.
Jared grace is just an ordinary kid same as his twin Simon and his sister Mallory (so just your classic main characters)
But when they move to an estate that their Mum inherited from a crazy aunt, but it turns out that this place is no ware near safe after Jared discovers a field guide hidden in a trunk.
 But the odd thing is its about Fairies!
So for the Grace kids the whole world got a huge bit bigger.
  when a power wanting ogre wants the book so he can learn the secrets of the other fairies and destroy them and any one who gets in the way comes after the book the Grace kids decide the only way to save the fairies is to destroy the book they set out to find the author their uncle Spiderwick (Who should be dead) to help them destroy it after finding that it was protected with a charm.
 But finding him not as useful as they thought he might be they have to change to a different approach.
But how do three kids, a brownie, a Griffin and a hobgoblin defeat a shape shifting ogre his army of goblins and dragons?

So absolutely fantastic books I get caught by the magic of them every time I read them and watch the movie for that matter.
Generally when I try to explain it to people they go a bit skeptical when I say fairies but its not like the fairies you think.



 Jared is a bit selfish and not very close to his family but that changes as they go on this adventure together
Simon is the complete opposite to Jared, while Jared is a restless spirit Simon is perfectly content with his life, as long as he can have as many animals as he wants.
Malory is not your ideal big sister but she like the rest changes and grows closer to he family.

Any way I hope you read this series they are a magical series that leave you looking for adventure.
